I got a 269 led bulb today for the rear light and two 501 bulbs for the front lights. The front bulbs were fitted and work fine, however I can't get the 269 bulb to work. I swapped ends around but with no joy, do I take it that I was sent a duff 269 bulb?

Did you try to turn on the switch again or close and reopen a door to actually activate the light? I do remember thinking the leds were broken at first as well when installing until I opened a door again and noticed the leds actually worked.

No, it is a small festoon type bulb, identical to the one in the roof light, just composed of 6 small LED's as opposed to a traditional filament type bulb.

I forked out £200 for the footwell lights, the blue lighting overhead adds to the effect, although I only fitted the bulb in the rear and turned off the front units.

The link to the place to buy these should be further up this thread I guess.

Even though I'm only getting my Civic on June 6 (longest fortnight of my life, probably... *sigh*), I bought the blue LED cluster for the back interior light and white LEDs for the map lights. I plan on keeping the map lights turned off unless needed to actually read something. I suppose the LED cluster in the back is enough to give the whole interior a blue glow...

Has anyone doe this for a Type R? I want to change the bulbs in my type R but use red bulbs instead of blue, I've seen the 501 bulbs and I shouldn't have a problem getting those but don't seem to be able to find the 269 bulbs in red? anyone know where I can get one?

Try this guy on eBay...has them in 36mm, only 5mm longer than a 269 and will most likely fit. Only £2.99 inc. 1st class postage...worth a try for 3 quid!

cheers mate, I'll give them a try, might not fit though and only 2 leds. it's a bit odd really not to get the bulb in red. I found these at ultraleds, 31-35mm

Quick question i checked at the store the other day for the rear festoon bulb but instead of the square type one they had one a long cylinder with three LED's instead of six, would they give the same effect ?

My led doesn't work either, also switched ends, close and open door, put switch to "ON"...

Nothing works.

I sent a mail to autobulbsdirect and damn, they do answer fast
had an answer withing 5 mins.

But they said to turn the bulb 180° , now waiting for other mail.
