Now completed my upgrade to Infinity 6510cs speakers in the front. Took approx 3 hours in total. Thank you to all on this thread who have posted guidence and photos.
I'll post how I get on with them once I have had chance to listen to them. I also want to tackle the rear speakers, it seems as if there is a race on to see who gets to this first??? |

In my opinion it took a while for my speakers to get "settled in" you will see a post about me being dissapointed with them; but 2 weeks later they seemed to sound infinitily (see what I did there?) better. |

Like the 'infinitily' joke.
The rears now sound very muffled and dull compared to the 6510s. The 6510s are very bright even when wired through the 3db option on the crossover. I am currently using the bass setting at +6 and the treble at -3, hopefully, the base with improve as they settle in. Even so, they are a huge improvement over the standard fit speakers and a huge cost saving on the manufacturer fit options. |

Speakers are OK - yes there's an option to improve, I think the price is on the Honda website. Car going very well - about 9000 miles.

Sorry if this Question is allready asked but does anyone know what the original speakers are?
- What brand? - What the Peak power and RMS-values are? It's because i bought the 2.2 sport and i don't have it yet, but i want to know if i need to save for other speakers or not I have 2 subwoofers from my other car so if it's only base that's missing.. it's no problem i think? Sorry for my bad english, i'm from belgium |

Vatar,
Your english is better than some native speakers here! The speakers have no brand name on them, though I seem to remember the tweeters having a power rating on them (can't remember what it was though). The woofers are the cheap plastic type, with a tiny magnet (though I think it's one of those rare earth types). They have no proper crossover. They sound OK, but no more. The speaker upgrade is just a very well spent £100 or so. |

thanks Pottsy for the quick reply I guess i'll have to hear it myself also to see if it's good enough for me Now i only have to wait on my car.. damn, i didn't knew waiting could take SO long Barrjm wrote: I agree with Pottsy, the standrad speakers are OK, if you are happy with OK. The upgrade to the Infinity 6510s however has made a big improvement for approx £92, and 3 hours of my time. I also used to get a lot of buzzing from MW reception, when listening to 5-Live, this has now gone. As for the Honda upgrade, I just wasn't prepared to spend £350 to upgrade just one pair of speakers. generationgav wrote: Quote:

There is a new listing on e-bay fpor Infinity 6510CS speakers at £49.99! I'm going get some myself and get a shop to fit them (looks far too complicated for me!)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MakeTrack=true Does anyone know what model speakers are used to replace the rear speakers??? |
