okaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy
DON'T use this as a mod if you ever intend using a power washer on your car Mine was in for a service today, and I forgot to tick the 'please do not wash me' option I can now confirm that a power washer removes 99% of back to black - which means it's now back to grey |

NHB Colour coding not reccommended
Hi everyone,
Spoke to someone recently about buying a black car and asked for advice, as he had several black cars in the past. He mentioned that scratches can be covered by using black shoe polish. Do you think this could be the answer to the conversion of the grey to black trim on a NHB civic? Don't blame me if things go wrong though, it's just a thought Kerry |

I think, possibly, that the failure was in my (lack of) preperation
looking back, I had washed the car, so it was clean (and dry) - BUT way back when, it wouldn't surprise me if I'd got wax on the trim. Either that, or Honda coat the trim / make it out of some waxy substance. Might try again, but properly cleaning the trim first with some solvent or something... It did look good - while it lasted |

there is another platic cleaner thing that adds black to the plastic. I used it on a 12 year old polo and the bumpers looked like new, nice and black. It lasts a lot longer than back to black and adds blackness. It was very messy to use my hands were black for weeks (I suppose washing would of helped).
Back to black just restores the original colour and dosnt last very long. I used it on my AX's red plastic bumpers, looked good for about 2 weeks then needed doing again. This other stuff add's black. Trouble is I cant rember what it was called. |

i use auto glym instant tyre dressing on my tyres and the plastic trim around the car plus interior plastic doors and kickplate trust me you will be impressed. Spray on tyres and leave dry ,but on plastic trim spray on and buff off easy for a top result try it out you wont be dissapointed. Comes in a white spray bottle with black writing approx 5 pound for a 500 mil spray
