Install sport pedal set

In order to install sport pedal set (Honda genuine accessory) you will need:
  • hand riveter
  • drill and a 3,5mm bit
  • and of course sport pedal set.
  1. Firstly you should replace a foot rest. It is held by two clips. Just lift it gently starting the best from the bottom. When it is removed install aluminium footrest.
  2. Next step is to install clutch and brake pedals. Remove old rubber elements from pedals. You will see three holes on both clutch and brake pedals that make instalation much easier. Place new rubber element on pedal and later an aluminium part making sure that it is well aligned. Fix it by using a hand riveter and rivetes that are attached to the pedal set. When doing that hold all together using second hand, because it might be easily misaligned.
  3. To fix accelerator pedal you need to place aluminium pedal on the original accelerator, mark 5 spots where you have to drill holes. Once you drill those holes it fix aluminium pedal by using riveter and 5 rivets that are attached in a pedal set.
I hope it helps a little bit. Please see pictures which I took during installation. They are not perfect as I was doing it outside and it was raining so I was in a hurry.

Thanks for this!

Oddly it confirmed that I shall NOT be doing it.
Almost got the parts the other week and then decided better not incase I can't, and i really think it confirms I'd not be able to do it properly. I did replace the footrest though.

generically -

Halfords (etc)

yes - but make sure you buy some spare rivets and practise on some old bits of metal first
easy once you get the hang of it

All rivets you need are included in that sport pedal set. I just had to buy a riveter. It was not expensive. I paid 9 Euro in a german store "Praktiker".
When I was installing my pedal set I used a riveter for the first time in my life. It was very easy to do.
