Its the same as the Clarion unit has Std Honda connectors at the back including the 7 pin reversing camera port which my cable plugs directly into.

Honestly, even though it sounds and looks complicated, it is not difficult and well worth the effort.

Several members have done this and are more than happy!

Great "How To"
I have a 3D (Type S) and I could not really use the guide but the idea of how to enter the camera wires in the car I used it and I thank you

fyi this might help some ***

fyi if you dont mind me stealing this picture., basically bold red line is the cable and the dotted line is where you have to thread it.

stage 1 thread it through the top ,

stage 2 there is an opening hole here , i threaded my chicken wire up from here to the top labelled .1.
did a knot and pulled the cable through ,

stage 3 , again threaded the chicken wire up from point 4 to point 3 and again knotted the video cable to the chicken wire and pulled it through !

reason why i split it in two goes is its just toooo hard to thread it from the top and all the way down expecting it to come out of the grommit . so i split it in two parts.

Hi, hope you don't mind me butting in...

I did this and it does improve signal, however I found that the screen flickered as I put my foot on the brake. Connecting the negative to the boot lid on a nearby stud with a star washer & ring crimp did the trick!

ah yes it must have been your post i read . yeah my othjer option is to connect it to a ring crimp and screw it to the tailgate - which screw did u use.

am i alright to use one of the screws that hold the brake light housing in place?

Yes I think that was the one I used; I'll check it out in the morning & let you know if not. I included the star washer to make sure of a good connection to the metal.

big thx to bog ,reversing camera now installed after 3 weeks lol . didnt need an attenuator or needed the ground the reverse light in the end .

got a few tips i will update thread with pixs at had my warnings now!!

undo all bolts i recommend one of these otherwise the nuts will fall into rear trim /floor and you will never find it if working outside

Click the image to open in full size.

remove rear brake lights first as the centre cluster is held on to these so brake lights must be removed first

Seriously, how did anyone ever manage to get the cable plugged in without disassembling the dash! To those that did, I salute you! My hands, great as they are at a good number of tasks, are not well suited to this job!

I have had the plug out of the back of my DVD about 6 times today while messing with the AV connectors & find it very easy.

I have big hands but have no problem at all, make sure you have trimmed just a slither of plastic on the sides of the plug & it goes in just fine.
