Yes, I can help...

What are your DIY skills like?

No point even considering this is you don't have basic Car electrics knowledge.

BTW, where are you from originally? Slovakia?

This one:

(Image borrowed from Syx's thread, [HOW TO] Replace rear centre light panel (Pre-2009))

Note that you don't need to remove the centre panel to install the camera; I used that picture because it was handy!

When running the video lead from the camera to the nav unit, consider running an extra wire as well. You may wish to add a component at a later date that allows you to switch the camera on whilst driving forward and it saves a whole lot of hassle having to go through the whole process again!
You'll need to leave enough slack in the tailgate to connect to the red power line of the camera, then a couple of metres in the front of the car to connect to the new component.

Im not sure if thats the right panel that i need to remove, its stage 2 in the instructions. its the bit were i feed the camera cable from out of the car into the inside tailgate.

Yes it's correct, have a look at the attached pictures showing my camera. You file a groove in the bottom of the tail light such that the wire can pass through without getting squashed when the tail light is tight in place. I tucked the wire up into the space as shown.
Just the three nuts to remove, careful not to drop them inside the trim as the guide says!

Smile tip for fitting the cable

Just been fitting the cable into DVD unit and found a good tip, I'm sure other people have done this but I just thought I'd share.

Open door as far as you can kneel with you feet under you and lean forward loads easier to reach inside.

I used my phone to take photos behind the unit to check I got the right place and after to make sure it was fitted ok.

Cable fitted under 10 mins

Hope this help anyone stuck

Does anyone have any tips for feeding the cable down the boot and back into the car, I'm stuck. Tried some stiff cable but no luck.

I don't think you can as the AFIK the Nav unit installed in your Civic does not have the 7 pin connector at the rear of it

like this...

Back Up Camera Using Factory Navi? - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum

Maybe yours/later versions have it... if yes, then yes you can have a camera

Bog,

AS you can see I'm a newbie to Civics and this forum. I would love to connect a rear view camera to the Satnav ( or should I saw pay a guy across the road to do it as I'm hopeless with electrics) - would you mind posting exactly what you need to get the job done, special cables, connectors etc.

many thanks

Burroo

Great guide, got my camera working 1st time on my oem sat nav with your cable.

got the cable in the back easily, just feel where the other cables are and you can feel where you are going.
I was confused originally, as i was trying to put the cable into the back of the screen! no room to get your hand up there!

fed the wire though the car just hiding it under the roof lining seal, took 1 minute.

Also found my extension for camera signal was male on both ends, and my connector on the lead was male, so i cut the female connector off the part by the camera and soldered it on the extension for connecting to your cable.

really pleased with quality of the camera.

thanks

Enjoy... it's a great and useful mod

Glad you managed to do it without having to take dash apart which in it's self is not too hard, but you saved some time

Hi guys,

I've started to fit my camera today and got a little stuck. I got it in the back of the nav unit, well I think I did it went into what felt like the right slot! I have got my cable through to the tailgate so I need to get it through the rubber cover piece but it won't go through. I have used a coat hanger but when trying to pull it back through the coat hanger come but the wire will not pull through.

Any tips
