Mic Swap

Thanks for that mod, sounds very good.

'tis raining at the moment but will attempt the 'easy' mod later

I went out yesterday and bought specially a 2mm drill bit just for that original job!

Anyone out there want any holes drilled?

It is the same as on RHD cars.

sorry I should have been more clear,

as it is positioned the same, does anyone know if the mic direction is pointing to the right on both RHD and LHD?

As far as I can see it points straight down.

Is that with the black cloth on or off?
usually you have to take the black cloth of to see the actual mic itself as you can see in woolyciv's pic...

http://img312.imageshack.us/img312/4...ncarrowry8.jpg

but you can tell without taking it off by feeling the cloth to see where the smaller cavity for the mic is, which as you can see is on the right in RHD cars

FYI, this mod will not work if you have the glass roof!

Don't bother with this mod.

You are much better off doing the foam mod, unless the dealer has done it already.

so far i've done the foam above mic housing to lower it, and the foam one the dealer does, the dealer one improved it but still could be a lot better

In my experience, that's as good as it will get! Remember to angle the central air vents down too.
