Even left handed muppets can do it......

First of all, a big thanks to both RogS and also Gareth at Holdcroft - thank you both!.

So the guys that have already changed their grille to Type R one were right - yes, it is quite easy and yes, in all probability you will break the bottom clip holders getting the original grille out - not that it matters much!!

I had the day off, and the man delivered the bits from Holdcroft Honda so I put a pot of coffee on the go, printed out RogS's excellent How-to pics, and got the toolbox out....

It probably took longer to get the tools and put them away afterwards than to do the job - the only bit did get me having a fag break to think about it (hey, sorry!) was installing the mesh holder. The secret seems to be to get the centre clipped into the bumper first, and then use some gentle persuasion on each side at a time to get the clips aligned - it worked for me !

I like it, and I'm glad that Gareth came up with a "black H" solution......

Trekker it looks great. The badge really suits the cars colour. Although I've got a type R I don't mind people fitting the red "R", it's their choice at the end of the day, but I do think you have made the right choice with the chrome one, it looks really smart.

From memory it was a 2003 Civic, but Holdcroft were the guys that sourced it - and as a bonus it was cheaper than the Type R emblem!

Looks spot on does that!

The badge is from the pre-facelift last generation Civic (01-03 model). I spent a few minutes wondering around our used car plot measuring the badges on all the cars lol.

Gaz.

Nice Grill!

Very nice, I ordered it with my new 1.8 Sport.
Honda says it costs 350 Euros, but they will not charge me, it is a gift for my new car!
