In this image wich are the easy breaking bottom clips?

Please anyone knows what's the different between the Grill Mesh holder
71122-SMT-E01ZA and 71122-SMT-E11ZA? maybe the color? an error?

thanks!

my dad tried to pull the old part to the front as hard as possible (after releasing all the other screws and clips) without breaking the clips, then i went all the way down with my arm and was able to release them using a screwdriver. but I must say it wasn't easy. Also make sure that when you release them the part of the piece you are going to remove is above the clip, otherwise you will break it.
Hope this can help and good luck with your grill i just washed mine (the whole car, not just the grill ) and it looks stunning

Hi, Just wondering how you managed to get the clips out on the top cover without breaking them. First one I tried snaped straight away so I gave up. Got CTR and I'm trying to put type r grill badge on.
Cheers Paul.

CTR GT NHB.

Can you not lure a child (or someone else with suitably small hands) to pop the badge on for you??

you are referring to the black big thing you need to remove before you can actually acces the clips of the grill? i removed those using a screwdriver going under the clip and pressing its "legs" together, and trust me, you haven't reached the hard part yet

It's the 8 clips that you first get to when you lift the bonnet, I only want to remove the mesh grill to put the badge on, not remove it all. You can't get under the cover to press the legs together.

Hi paulpj....I broke 4 out or the 8 clips your talking about.. But the dealers keep them in stock 25p each.. Good luck with the grill , its dead easy ....until you try and get the bottom 2 clips out... you will need small hands and very thin arms

You dont have to get under the cover to remove the clips, you place the screwdriver between the cover and the top of the clip. I'll post a picture tonight if it still isn't clear now.
grtz

Gaz.
Holdcroft_honda, could please be a little bit more specific about the model of the car with the fitting black emblem on the type r grill. (with a photo or something) Because i also want the black emblem on the type R grill, because i have a black civic and i think the black emblem looks better than the red one.

I don't know which model of the civic i should give to the dealer to order the emblem.

*****!

Any chance of that pic?

I was trying to get the clips off with some pliers. But I gave up as I didn't want to break them. I was also trying to put the Type R badge on.

Dont worry about the pic - i've figured this out. Thanks for the hint! Took all the clips out without breaking any!
