Well that was the most useful Quality Street wrapper ever
B1235 and B1240 and as I have no problems with the HVAC, I'm happy. |

I get a couple of codes that a lot of others have reported
B1241 B1235 Both relate to blower and associated valve. Thing is i do have an intermittent issue that i reported on another thread. Sometimes (when driving in rain!) I lose control over air and cannot force it to demist etc. Blower still going but nothing coming out.... So... if lots of others report the same issue does anyone have an idea on a fix? My car is now well out of warranty...... Cheers |

Hi guys I could really do with some help my car is a civic 2.2 icdti sport on a 56 plate i've had the engine warning light come on and off for about 4 months. This problem has now escalated to the point where the car wont start and it puts check system, check engine, air bag warning in orange and vsa , also the red air bag warning light in the top right goes out then comes back on and stays on. I've had the car into an auto electrician for two weeks he's on good terms with Honda here in Aberdeen and they have told him different places to look for faults. He knows there is a fault their but he cant find it he told me it has the potential to cost between 2 an 3 grand to fix !!!!! I have replaced the srs ecu under the gear leaver and it's still the same wont start!. I have just donr the tin foil trick and it came back with these fault codes.
pa50 dtc b1168 (this one wont clear) pa51 dtc b1231 pa51 dtc b2932( cant seem to find this one?) Any help would be gratefully received thanks in advance Keith. |

Ive not carried out this tin foil test yet, but i have ran seft diagnosis test on dash and ERROR 2 came up. After seeing this ive also realised that the warning didnt come up on dash that my brake light bulb was out or that my tyre pressures were low.
Could this be related? Also whats the problem and how do I fix it? |

Hi all - would be grateful for some help.
Engine warning light came on this morning just as I was returning from a fairly short trip so I followed Pottsy's tin foil workaround and got the code PA51 B1227 - this was flashing and pressing (i) on the steering wheel did nothing. I've quickly searched this thread and can't see that particular code mentioned - does anyone have the decode? EDIT : just searched the thread again for B1227 (rather than just 1227) and found that it's to do with the outside air temperature gauge. This appeared to be reading normally - it said 1 degree and there was frost on the car so it couldn't have been far out! Anyway, the warning light is still coming on when I go to start the car up so unfortunately it doesn't look like an intermittent - do I need to get another sensor (I had it changed about 2 years ago) or is there a less expensive solution? Thanks in advance. Last edited by EmmGee; 6th April 2013 at 09:53. |
