I admire your attempts at 'humour' though matey
Dearest James it is so nice that you realise that I own a Turbo Fn2. That in itself is quite ground breaking information and I'm humbled that you shared your powers of deduction with us. "LOL"

Yeah my attempts at Humour are pretty thin on the ground like your attempts at winding people up and fishing for bites. That I do know.

And as for me being a MODGOD wanna be. Nope it's too much like hard work. I'd rather be ripping in someone like you etc. Now if I was a mod I couldnt do that Now could I.

Talking of good grasp. It sounds like you have experience. Hehe

JamesPacynski,

If you hadn't have been so obnoxious to others, then you may have gone unnoticed for a bit longer.

Of course, with a quick check, it is Crowmar Kirkliss again. Apologies to everyone else for being a bit slow here.

Dag nammit... iv been off here for 1 day and everyone has hijacked my thread! Although iv just had a bit of a laugh from reading what everyone has put, it's completely thrown me off track and i don't know what the hell half of these people are talking about.

I'm in no position to judge the members of the argument as 1, iv never spoke to them and 2, iv never met them. It does seem like there's been a few things brewing on these forums for a while and it's taken my threat to kick it all off.

I'm sorry if i'm the cause of any arguments. I intentionally posted this tutorial hoping to help members and it seems to have drifted over to a HKS debate/argument.

Have to say all Ive read this thread with real interest as I wanted to upgrade my air filter and the HKS induction kit was the most affordable upgrade but youve hit the nail on the head, as someone who admits they know very little about the real tech details of an engines intricate operation my question always was how does the HKS filter offer any improvement over the OEM panel filter for the very simple reason it draws hot air from the engine bay its not like theres any cold air intake from the bonnet via a scoop so I really do think this simple mod could probably offer as good a result as paying £350+ for the HKS version, well done for the innovation matey as you say if some people are happy to pay £1k+ for an air induction kit then good for them but for people who cant I really dont see how this mod can be any worse and its FREE!!? The holes are before the filter so it really wont make any difference as far as I can see, so I will probably give this a go. I accept you cant beat drawing cold air from a direct scoop from the external environment but to do this you need to pay big bucks for the likes of a gruppe or mugen set up which for most people just isnt affordable, I think innovation and experimenting is good and lets remember its at the owners risk youre just posting it there for people to make their own mind up nice one I say ! Its good to create a debate some people just get too passionate and it all gets out of context me thinks but I fully admit I am not technically skilled as cars are not my profession just my passion? Happy driving and experimenting I say !

Hmmmm nice drill bit ! U could make an ally heat shield then add a cold air feed straight from the bumper to f o r c e some cold back in ! Or even plastic over the holes then make another hole with a pipe leading to an intake scoop on the bonnet scuttle or bumper something like that . We used to mess about with the cars in the scrapyard like that it sounds quite good and in a lot of cases made a diffrance but they all got smashed to bits in the end !!!

cant you fix a pipe into the front of the air box say from the front grill which would send cold air into the airfilter box

cut hole in bottom of airbox and fit this in Rectangular Brake Air Intake Duct 152mm x 51mm | eBay
then attach this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Blue-Fle...item4ab1627c61
then use the fog garnish
Honda Civic FN2 FK Fog Light FRP Intake Air Vent Scoop Garnish MU Style MUGEN | eBay
