Made a mount for my Parrot

Afternoon all!

I managed to get a bargain from "brian mc21" a few weeks back on a Parrot CK3100 handsfree kit. I have only had time last night to complete the install and i must say thank you to "colthillary" with his fantastic how to guide, made it a breeze to fit!!!!

Anyway, when i began the install the question kept coming on my mind of "where to place the handsfree monitor"..... As we all know, the 8th gen civic is built with curves, and no flat straight surfaces to attach things too.... so this got me thinking...

I needed to make a mount!

I found a old piece of thin metal sheeting in the shed, and decided to get to work... I wanted to locate the monitor close to the steering wheel, but not look out of place....

Smoothed off the rough edged, and buffed it to a nice clean finish

Tested the location and it fits like a glove!

Wiring completed, and ready for the install

Perfect!

Overall, very pleased with the results, doesn't look out of place in the car and very sturdy when going over bumps in the road.

Cheers for looking

V. Nice! Has that OEM+ look with the bonus of being to be able to hide an wires.

I'd be tempted to fit a Snooper or similar in the same location!

Excellent stuff! Perfect placement and an "invisible" mount. Nicely done

Hello from a spanish newbie in Madrid!
(and sorry for my English.)

A superb solution!

What kind of adhesive did you use to attach the metal to the board?

Thank you.

Did you spray it black?

Can you see the sheet of metal from the passengers side?

Either way - love it!

I did a similar retro fit with the OEM one. Used hot glue and sticky pads and it can't be seen from the passenger side. Check my build thread in the sig.

Didn't spray, as like Flipt said, you can't see the metal panel from the passengers side due to the angle it's facing.

I just used a heavy duty M3 stick pad, cut into a stip the length of the screen, and them attached to the dash.

To this date, still stuck like it was a piece of the car
