ive now put in a switch on the side of the door card. its connected to the earth so kills the circuit. hgt did explain another way but it involved having the relay working when the car is not running. i didnt like this due the relay working all the time and the current draw from the circuit. i now have the option to stop the mirrors folding when the car is locked . this also overides the original mirror button, but is placed so i can access it and still use the original button if i need to.
here is the switch (from maplin) |

I did some research on doing this, IE the windows would auto close about 30 seconds after the car had been locked, with an override in case passengers were left in the car.
But to be honest the circuitry to do it It was so complicated that I decided it was a no go for this forum. I would have done it on my car but the amount of wires to be cut and rerouted would certainly have voided any warranty, and with the amount of work involved I decided to abandon the project But it can be done. |

Got a mate who's an electrician to build the circuit up for me, fitted it today and works great, had to extend a few cables coz the 300mm quoted in the guide weren't long enough to where I mounted the box.
Gonna wind up a few non civinfo members with this mod saying you have to press the lock button 10 times for it to work and watch them press away!!!!! |
