Our last car was the previous Civic Hybrid (IMA) which definately felt underpowered in some cases esp at faster speeds on the motorway. This model will never drive like the smaller 2 ltr diesel but for a Hybrid it can move on the motorway and is great around town. The 1.4 petrol engine and electric motor gives a combined equvilent of a 1.8/2ltr but the CVT can let it down at times.

This is our second Civic Hybrid we looked at the then Prius model when buying our first and the current model when purchasing this one. Although the Prius claims to get marginally higher mpg, I feel the Civic Hybrid wins on appearance, build and price. Last edited by itsmad : 24th October 2006 at 20:43. Reason: sense |
