Hybrid with 18" or 19" wheels?

Has anyone tried fitting bigger wheels on the Hybrid? How about lower suspension?

I'm thinking about swapping my 1.8exe for a Hybrid, but I would like to "pimp" it a little bit by dropping the car 3-4 cm and adding the bigger wheels

That kind of defeats the purpose of the Hybrid (I'm sure it wuld look great) but the Hybrid is built for low Co2 emissions and better MPG
making those changes would certainly throw the later out the window

(I wonder if anyone has done this?)

Hondaatje has put different 17" wheels on - Hybrid has 16" wheels as standard ?

I guess at least you shouldn't have problems with 17 " wheels because in Canada the Acura CSX Type-S which is basicaly the same as the Euro Hybrid in terms of design has 17 wheels as standart... EP3 look-like

Saw the one on ebay below with different 16" wheels and bodykit. The difference it makes to the look of the car is amazing.

Honda Civic 1.4 iMA ES 4 door Auto Hybrid on eBay, also, Honda, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 31-Dec-08 16:45:53 GMT)

I have seen quite a few Hyrbids on the road now with non standard alloys.

If you look at the latest brochure for the Hyrbid it now comes with 5 spoke alloys which look alot better anyway than the ones the older cars came with, and optional 7 spoke alloys. If upgrading stick to lightweight alloys and dont go too big and it wont make too much difference.

In Greece 15'' light alloy wheels are the standard. I am very pleased with these. An 18'' alloy wheel (and even a 17'' alloy wheel) will definitely affect fuel consumption, slow the car down (increased polar inertia) and reduce considerably ride confort.

Does anyone know the precise weight of the UK-spec 15" and 16" standard alloys on the ES/EX models?
