Cool Hybrids here!

Well it will be at the dealers tomorrow or Monday. They rang me today. Got to drop off the number plate retention certificate tomorrow and we should have the car by Wednesday.

Cant wait.

Pictures to follow.

I'm interested to see how long you have had to wait for your plate transfer Nick any news on the car?

I see you have the plate on retention and wondered how long thats taken as I'm having a problem with the transfer of mine!

Shouldn't be any problem with the plate, it's a 10 minute job (plus queue time) at your local DVLA office, that's how I did mine.

Thanks for the comments.

The Hybrid is quieter. The ride is smooth. The auto box in the Hybrid is a CVT so gear changes are smooth. We have a 2003 petrol Civic and the Hybrid is alot nicer to drive. It doesnt feel different from a regular car really.

Only minor dislike is when you stop, you must keep your foot on the brake otherwise it comes out of auto stop mode and restarts the engine. Otherwise very happy with it.

If you're used to automatics, then keeping your foot on the footbrake is the norm anyway, as if you don't the automatic creep mode designed for when in slow moving traffic will move the car forward.

Dont like the sound of that at all, especially if I am behind at night!

What about handbrake and neutral?

Galaxy Grey?

Err, either:

1) My eyesight is shot;
2) My monitor is shot;
3) Your camera is shot;
4) Your dealer should be shot;
5) I should be shot...

That there Galaxy Grey looks more like Cosmic Grey to me.

I do like the personalised plate though... would have thought DVLA would have objected what with it being completely BLANK !!

Don't bother with handbrake and neutral in an auto. Footbrake only. All this into neutral and handbrake and into first then handbrake again then into first again when in traffic queues is a mugs game.
