Okay, picked up my EX on Tuesday just gone, as per my previous posts on this thread the spec was:

Colour: Black
Leather: Grey
Extras: 8 CD Caddy (mounted in the boot) and the rear park sensors (after market at the look of them)

Would have taken some pictures, but the weather this last week has been crap so I'll wait till it clears up a little (around March at this rate)

Comments on week 1

Pro:
Gear box seems to rev slightly better than the ES demo I have had for a few day off and one, I have been very pleased on this front.

Sat Nav unit is very nice, TMC is enabled and works unlike the one in my Golf, already saved me loads of time on two occasions already this week.

Cons:
8 CD Player, I had asked to have this installed in the big space under the armrest, seems like it has to be booted mounted which is a shame.

The autostop seems to kick in a little too early which causes a little jerk when coming to rest, its not as smooth as the demo and I will ask them to look at this when I'm passing the dealer next.

Blutooth Hands free, bit too much voice control and not enough manual control whilst the car is at rest, I want to be able to sync contacts from my phone book (which it will do, but only one at a time !

Overall given the price I paid (just over £19K) I still think is a great car, the spec is very high for this price and the added tax/environmental benefits make the EX a good purchase

Happy to upload some pictures, its basically the same unit in the CRV which is touchscreen AFAIK, I had a Golf before with a colour Sat Nav unit and the one in EX is of similar standard, it has some pretty nice features and some poor ones to be honest.

Plus points IMHO, working TMC, good instructions, nearest POI feature

Bad Points, mounted a little to low for my liking, sub menus not too easy to work around.

I know it doesn't have the have the alloys you put on yours, nice as they are, they would really suit me to be honest.

I do think the stock alloys are pretty ugly and if I get the chance I will look to change them, the tyres could do with a change too, some Pilots would be nice on mine.

Did you get a manual for the hands free phone, I have the main manual and the San Nav and neither really cover the phone

I asked the same question. It would be good if they did.

...but why can't it look like a Civic?

Hi Retronana!

Your car is just like mine, except i've got ivory leather interiors.
I also don't have the manual for tha hands free phone, but my dealer told me that Honda Portugal was printing the manual and that soon it will be distributed!
Fortunately, the chief engineer of the garage paired my phone with the car, using some voice commands!
Have you already configured your cell with the car?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply

My mobile was paired before I left the showroom also so that part is covered.

The manual I think would be usefull, I'll take it up with my dealer today and report back.
