From what I can see you're paying an extra £2000 for those three things. There doesn't appear to be anything different to the existing model. With a good TomTom costing £250, leather on the ES £800 where do they get the extra pricing from? I also notice that the ES costs around £1000 more now!

Have a look at what some others charge for built in satnav...

You're right. Shouldn't be though now should it when you consider how much a sat nav costs...

I have one on order

Metallic Black
Grey Leather
8 CD Player Upgrade
Dealer Fit Rear Parks

Current ETA is mid/end of December.

Drove the ES for a few days on a test drive, very impressed, more than adequate for my trip to work every day, hopefully it will last my 35K miles a year

Anyone else got an EX on order and what delivery date do they currently have ?

I advised my father to buy one, and after testdrive a Yaris, Mazda2 first, he wanted definitely a car like his Mazda 626, so I arranged a Hybrid for testdriving, and after that, the new Civic Hybrid was ordered. And I like the car very much also! Could be my next.

The good news is my car has arrived at the showroom, it needs the rear parks and the 8 CD multi-player added and it should be picked up on Tuesday

Pictures uploaded hopefully on Tuesday morning

I had a good look at the new Hybrid EX at my dealers whilst I was waiting for the i-Shift mod to be done to mine.

I was very impressed with the leather interior and overall layout of the car.

Nice and spacious, no speed merchant but it felt very comfortable.

Don't think it had any facility to fold the rear seats to increase boot storage though. Shame that. Do they use the back of the rear seat to position the main batteries?

I think the batteries are directly between behind the back of the rear seats and the back of the boot.

You are correct, no use for a trip down to Ikea...fortunatly the do home delivery to Colchester now...so its not a massive problem.

Looked in the showroom myself, display model is in black with grey leather (same as mine) and looks very nice for a hybrid.

I've moved down from a Mk5 Golf R32 so it was always going to be a big drop, but given the price I paid for the EX and the base spec its a very good deal IMHO.

I had the Mazda 2 as a courtesy car, and it is one of the worst things I've ever driven, felt like I had about 800cc under the bonnet, when I asked the dealer what it was, he said 1.4!!!! (Never driven anything so slow, and for such a company, so badly made/equipped).

Hope you like the Hybrid,
Tom
