Type R insurance group

I always thought the Type R was a group 17 car. On Honda's website it says the recommended group is 16. Is 'recommended' different from what the actual group is?

Think the GT is 17 and the normal one is 16

click on Full Specification

go down the list and click on Insurance Group

and it says Recommended Insurance Group 16

Haaa...haa....group insurance. Its only a ball park figure like a RRP ... your insurance company will make the final judgment.

True! i'm sure esure have invented a group 21 for my car
