Cool Hello fellow Civic nuts!

Hello everyone,

Finally got our Tangerine civic after waiting nearly three months - couldn't decide between red or blueish silver so waited for the new colour. We love it, and it's a doddle to find in the car park!

Really loving driving it - my husband has a broken leg at the moment and cannot drive it (oh, the SHAME!) there's only one thing I miss from my old Peugeot - the autodip rearview mirror. Has anyone out there installed one, as they are available as an accessory? Is this a tricky job (perhaps best left to the dealer)? Have located a good source for parts at a reasonable price but just not too sure whether to jump in!

Thanks for listening, guys!

Welcome!

But we need pics!

auto dim rear mirror can be fitted - it's an option on the Type S and you can order all the bits from a dealer

couple of people have, and apparently it's not a HUGE job

Most people don't bother though, as the rear spoiler cuts out 99% of the glare anyway

enjoy the site - and the Civ

And hope hubby makes a quick recovery (for his sake) - or a slow one (for your sake)

As above mentioned by several others, I'm looking forward to see some pics of what this new colour look like in the real world!
Although it is a spaceship...lol.

Here it is, sitting at the dealers forecourt just before coming to it's new home! I guess it's like Marmite and people may hate it, but we love it! It's a 2.2 CDTi ES with black leather interior and I can still barely believe it's mine (sad). There is no mention of it on Honda's site although production started in October and this is one of three on order books for the whole of UK (so our dealer told us in early November).

Thanks for the info on rear-view mirrors - dealer wants £250 to supply and fit it, but I can get parts for £135. Do I or don't I? If I went ahead fitting it myself and messed something else up maybe that'd be false economy - but how hard can it be?

Leg stil broken - back to hospital on 2nd January, but haven't stopped working! You can get up a scaffold in a moon-boot!

Actually it looks really nice, more like a burnt orange than anything else. I am glad I went for black though!

Originally gave us a delivery date of early January - so hang in there, you may not have to wait as long as you fear!

Congrats Td!

The colour is, how shall I put this - slightly unusual, but better than I first thought.
However, I think it would have taken me a while to get used to it!
