Hello

I've been a member for a while and have been lurking until I could decide what car to replace my Accord 2.2Ex with.

This is a company car and for one reason or another I'm not doing enough miles to keep it so I've decided to hand it back in March and then will be confined to the office.

Now the fun part choosing a new civic was going to stick with Diesel but since I am going to be cutting my driving down from about 35000 miles a year to about 6000 have decided to get a Type R.

Went out for a test drive on Tuesday and fell in love with the noise from the VTEC I'll be getting my order in at the weekend.

Great choice. What colour and what extras are you going to get?

One of the (many) reasons I love my car so much is the noise the engine makes - its addictive

Probably going to get Milano Red and extras so far are Ipod Connector, Type R badge/Stickers, City Pack & parking sensors need to think about others.

My last 5 cars have been diesels going back as far as 1999 so the Type R will be a nice change. The Accord has been my first Honda and it hasn't skipped a beat.

Was going to get the Nav/HFT as I've already got it in the Accord but my daily commute is only going to be around 15 miles on quiet roads and if I need sat nav for any future journeys can always get a portable device.

Also split from my partner in October and she would have hated the Type R so thats another tick in the box for getting one

Nah it's my i'm 37 and having a mid life crisis car - at least the insurance isn't too bad!!!

It'll make a change to have something you care about that doesn't require constant topping up with Chardonnay but then again wouldn't put it past her to try a glass or two of super unleaded
