Hello from County Durham

Didn't see the 'introduce yourself forum' and I've already muscled in on a couple of threads.

I'm due to collect our (the missus's) Civic 2.2 EX on Saturday. I drive a MX5 2.0 Sport most of the time, hence the username, but will get a fair few miles in the Civic. The Civic will be replacing our 3.0 V6 CDTI Vectra which has had to be punted on due to poor CO2 figures, a lot of car and a cracking engine for the money (2nd hand)

I already think I know one person on here a former MINI owner from another forum, but I might be wrong.

Hi Vidal

The MX5 is a great drivers car, even if it has a hairdresser's car image.

Hairdressing can be lucrative - our local hairdresser drives Porsche 911s and bought one of the new ones recently.

Hi Vidal!

We usually don't think of an MX-5 as a hairdresser's car. It's more Mercedes SLK, BMW Z4 and stuff like that for them. But I'm not gonna argue on that. I kinda like the MX-5 btw. Me and my local authority would want one too, but it's a little hard to fit in 2 kids, isn't it. If it only had a glove box like the civic, then, maybe,...

Welcome!

I have looked at an MX5 a few times myself.
