Thanks for the kind words Maldex. I'm chuffed to death with the car looks (and goes). As for the Photography, I must confess to having been an Advertising Photographer for 20 years. I now teach Photography and Digital Imaging at University.

We retained 60% of RRP, so no big deal. I've heard of worse however.

I've taken a beating on a couple of my recent trades but it was the correct move. Better to own a house than a fancy car.

It was our 7th Impreza Turbo/WRX/STi in 12+ years and the first time we didn't get a good trade in. The price was actually £500 higher that I thought and spot on book, just book was a tad low.

Dealer offered me much less for trade-in than I had hoped. So I sold it privately instead and got nearly € 2000 more.

Selling privately's a good idea and one we've used many times in the past, but not with a 320BHP Subaru Impreza STi! Too many kids want to be test pilots and have a play. Also, the insurance company wanted over £3500 to insure the car for any driver (max no claims too!). It was £500 for me and my Wife. They said they'd refund a proportion of the £3.5K once the car was sold, but it didn't seem worth it...

PPP - upgraded ECU, Rear Decat, uprated Turbo boost valve and hoses, all by Prodrive. Some claim as high as 330/340. Mine gave 320. Prodrive claim at least 305. 0-60mph in 4.6 secs, 30-70 in 4.5, max 158 mph.

Now getting a Civic modified by Prodrive would be very interesting. Should probably be the upcoming Type-R. I wonder how many bhp they could squeeze out of that.
