Greetings - 2.2 ES Owner

Hi everyone.

Glad to have stumbled across this forum. Seems very informative and friendly.

I've had my alabaster silver 2.2 ES since March and have done about 4,500 miles and am still enjoying it.

It's great to drive, the engine is a peach and it looks superb. I test drove a number of cars when i was buying it. When I first test drove the civic i took out a 1.8 petrol and while I enjoyed it I didn't feel it was worth the extra expense over the old model. I nearly settled on a new Leon which was a great drive and is possibly prettier than the Civic but at the last moment I went back and took out the diesel Civic. I don't know why but I felt immediately in love with it and ordered it that day. Love at second sight?

Everybody I know thinks the car is stunning to look at (in a Dyson mating with a Cylon off Battlestar Galactica kind of way).and I have warmed more to it looks over time. I love the cockpit of the car - it looks cool, is well laid out and simple to use.

Cabin Space is less than the last Civic but it is the price to pay for having undergone a transformation from an old maid into a sexy cyber vixen. Boot space is great and the magic seats are a great steal from the Jazz.

Hopefully the reliability will be similar to the old civic which I have had years of trouble free motoring with so far (touch wood).

The best endorsement i can give it is that my motorbike has been left sat in the garage this year whilst I found excuses for us to go on more family outings.

thanks for the welcome. I will attempt to post a pic by the weekend.

I never realised there was such a thriving community of Civic Owners online.

Welcome to another owner from the North of England. Preston should be proud of its new Civic owner.
Preston- the home of the first piece of Motorway in the UK. A bit busier now if you want to test out your Civic
The "new" marina is quite good to- bit of a change from the old docks!

Look forward to the pics

Welcome to you, wouldn't it be funny to have a Cylon eye scanning back and forth under the number plate, maybe if we can crack the Sat-nav on the EX we could do a cylon style voice for the Car LOL.

Anyway cheers and welcome

Elis

i'd like them to give away a free dyson with each Type R that has a Civic Front end.

Welcome PTD, we will obviously see each other around Preston and the marina area as I live close to it. Look out for a NHB civ with a Civinfo.com sticker.

Will look out for you. If you see a man looking like he is shouting at his kids to keep quiet in a silver ES it's probably me.
