Just bought civic this week and got ill!

Hi all,

Well just traded in my 2003 330i BMW for the 2006 2.2 CDTI sport - trying to save my self a fortune in petrol, tax and insurance!

As luck would have it the day my car was delivered I got ill and haven't been able to drive it for a week! I had a 5 minute drive yesterday but had to stop before I barfed everywhere.

Very different to the BMW it'll take some getting used to a diesel again but I do like it, only have two gripes one is the spolier, spoiling the rear view and the second is my clutch pedal which squeaks like cazy - must find a way to stop that...

Anyway great site, look forward to hearing good things about the civic...!

Hi and welcome to CivInfo Sorry to hear you have not been well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and some quality time with your new car I am sure I am not the only one who would be interested in some comparisons once you have had a chance to get used to your new spaceship !

Many thanks - and that's exactly how I described the car to my wife "space ship"!.

Spotted something very interesting in your sig "Internal reversing camera" - think I might fit some after market gear any info on these things?

Also been looking at the thread on squeaky clutches, think I better take the car in to the dealer by the sounds of it.....clutch master cylnder problems etc....not good!

Many thanks - for some reason I had imagined this maybe able to integrate with the screen already in the civic (where sat nav etc goes) but on thinking about it again it's probably not possible - but it would be cool.

Indeed But as I said, this is a 'cheap and cheerful' mod. There are ways of fitting aftermarket cameras to vehicles with the SatNav option, but not for the fainthearted like myself !! Also, I don't think there IS a screen unless you have the SatNav option already fitted.

Well that rules me out! Interested though in fitting various options including sat nav and cruise - anyone know if this is possible and if so how to go about it?

Thanks.
