New to Civics and Honda
Hello - to evryone, i just moved from an Audi A3 which ihad been using for a few years to a 2006 Civic 1.8 ES. I wanted to change car as the audi although it had 4 wheel drive and 180 bhp was costing me a fortune in services and running costs - every 2 yaers audi managed to come up with a £700 service.
I must say i do really like the civic in comparison with the audi, the only downside is the audio in the car as the old audi had a nice bose system The civic i feel is better (for me) in terms of ride, cabin quality, convenience features and certainly fuel economy, the turbo on the audi was eating fuel at a massive rate.. Overall Honda have impressed me with this car, i purchased my 2006 1.8 ES from a family friend second hand, 15k on the clock |

Hi
I was the same, my Lexus IS200 was also costing a fortune in fuel and servicing costs which made me look for a more frugal chariot. Now that windscreen ticket prices are also rising rapidly in the expensive sector I'm glad I switched when I did. I reckon heavy fuel using cars with £400 ticket prices are going to depreciate like a stone soon, if not already. |

Hi Tigerfish. I too switched from an Audi (A4) and would echo most of your points. Only thing I would differ on is cabin quality. The Audi certainly had a more bland and less well equipped cabin, but I thought the quality well up on the somewhat plasticky Honda.

ooooh... a nice Bose system, now you're talking - if only on my spaceship!
But... Check out the many Wiki pages on how to upgrade your kit in the Civ... Enjoy and welcome. Sub. |
