Hi All, I live off the A3 South of Guildford. I've ordered a 58reg Civic EX and I like my music, so asked the local dealer whether I could have the CDchanger (centre console), the Ipod Adapter (dashboard) and the Casette player (all optional I'm told) in the car at the same time, and all connected to the audio head unit?! They didn't know. I know there's a cable that connects each option to the head, but how many of the three can you have connected in the car at any one time? Are the CD and Casette player interchangeable or removable, for example? Or is it a case of having either the CD changer, the Ipod connector or a casette player installed individually only? Ideally I'd like to be able to play CDs from the changer and switch to an Ipod connection fialry easily. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Civinfo!
How long until you get the car? I can't answer your questions regarding the audio issue but I am sure someone on here will be able to answer your questions. |

I bought a new type s
...last week and browsed civinfo for a couple of weeks.
Sounds like you are gonnawaste loads of cash...... Why do you want a changer when you're planning an ipod interface? I love music in my car and this was was my option. 8Gig of music in my Type S If I bore of 8Gig of music, I'll buy a dedicated bluetooth MP3 player just for the car. Just another option for you to consider |

Woolfrit - the head unit only has one Aux in connection. It is designed only for the 8 disc changer, so other devices in fact just emulate this changer. Hence the Honda ipod connector is a bit poor...
I would suggest the connects2 route, which will cheaply allow you to connect anything, but will not display anything useful on the head unit. Have a read here: Connecting an MP3 player - Civinfo Wiki |
