Hi everyone. A type S owner in waiting!!

Just come across this forum and what a great forum it is.

I am in the middle of saving for a new Civic. Im holding out for the 2.2 Diesel Type S GT. Which ive been told comes out officially on Jan 2 2007.

Cant wait for this car and have been reading loads on here.

I am a little concerned by all the posts about quality issues but overall everyone seems to be delighted with there cars. But is there such a thing as a perfect car???

I currently drive a Honda Accord Coupe V6 3.0 which is a fantastic car but i can no longer afford to run it. On average i get about 22mpg. So moving to the diesel is going to be quite a saving for me. Im used to having to spend £50 on fuel to get around 260 miles out of a tank. ouch!!!

Anyway hoping to gain alot of help and tips from this forum,

Indeed - welcome aboard!

I've obviously got some catching up to do - didn't realise they were making a diesel Type S

They do a diesel 5 Door? Is that why mine is a bit rattly when cold? Guess I've been lucky at the pumps then.

I dont mind waiting. But it will kill me having to wait. lol. Every week will feel like a month. Just got to save a few more pennies!! then I will be placing my order and just hope the waiting list is not to long. Comes out on sale Jan 2 so I would hope if lucky to have it by March?? Im wanting a few extras so might delay the time but does not worry me.

Still waiting for a official price from Honda.
