Exclamation Hera at Last - I have a Question!!!!!!

I have been reading the info on this site for weeks; thanks so much for all your inputs and help.
From it and a test drive i have ordered a Civic; only problem is i am getting the run around.

Ordered the car early August, notified it would be in w/b 25/9/06.
Week before informed it would be 30 October....
Two weeks later it has moved to November.

Honda inform me it can take six weeks to know when a car will be built.
How do they expect to get customers to buy a car when they can't give an indication when they will get it for six weeks???

(Civic 2.2CTDI EX Paerl Blue, standard black interior.)

Welcome, Gadget, I guess the car is so good that they have so many orders and people are prepared to wait, as we all have; and worth the wait it is!

You could ask your dealer what (if any) unallocated cars he has coming in and get your name on one straight away.

Good luck.

Welcome Gadget, it seems as though Honda produce the cars in batches. I.E. 1 batch will be 2.2 EX Night hawk black another batch will be 2.2 EX Pearl Blue and so on. How many cars constitute a batch, don't know but t would explain the delays and speed ups experienced by folk awaiting delivery.

At least you've got a delivery date

I ordered mine around august and the dealer said to me that the car maybe could be delivered around November

So i'm still waiting for news..

3 days ago i saw 3 trailers full with new civic's , i thought my car was going to be on one of the trailers but no luck i guess

hope it will be here soon, the waiting is killing me

Seems as tho' they build in batches of ten at a time.

Now if we at www.civinfo.com got together and found ten of of us who wanted the same spec.................!

Maybe they could even throw in a wiper.

Welcome Gadget. The delivery info. from Honda to the Dealers, seems a bit hit and miss to say the least. I think we've nearly all been there.

Yip, this sounds familiar. I ordered in May for a July delivery and it turned up on September 11th.

It's hard waiting but it's worth the wait.

Hi Bull

Love that sticker.

How much you flogging them for?
"If we all quit voting, will they all go away?"

here i am again, my dealer called Honda and asked the exact delivery date, now it's from "about 10 days" to "in the week of november 15th"

oh well.. a little month and i'm driving in my new car..

bad thing is, in 3 days i saw 7 trailers full with new civics coming to my living area..
I only hope one of them is for me that they were wrong with the delivery date
