About time I introduced myself!

Hello all,

I've been looking at the site for a couple of weeks now, mainly at work and have not had the time to introduce myself. Anyway I've had my Galaxy Grey 1.8 EX for about 3 weeks now and absolutely love it! Having come from a 1.9 diesel Laguna, it's taking a while getting used to driving with higher revs and I have still not really pushed over 4500 rpm as it's only got 500 miles on the clock. As each day and each mile passes it seem to get smoother and quicker!

Still getting used to all the gadgets inside and trying to memorise the voice commands. Build quality is great and whilst the dash is ‘Starship Enterprise’, interior space is more TARDIS! Plenty of space for my 2 kiddies and their paraphernalia!

Before buying, I looked around at the competition and was seriously considering a Ford Focus, I needed a car quick (Change of job, lost company car!) and Ford had stock. The Civic was my first choice after having hired a 2.2 Sport for two weeks back in June, but the quoted lead times were 14 weeks plus!

Anyway, noticed another Honda dealer near where I live (Grays Honda) and paid them a visit just to see if they had better lead times. After speaking with the sales guy for a bit, the manager came over and said that he had just got a 1.8 EX in for the showroom and it was out the back un-prepped, fresh from the factory. If I wanted it I could have it, so I went for it and got them to match jamjar.com's price, saving £1400 - Lucky or what!!!

I’ll post some observations about the car (and some pics) when I get more time, in the meantime I'll keep dipping in and trying out the how to's and tips.
