Smile Honda Virgin

Hi Everyone !

As a middle aged man I have always respected the fantastic feedback I have had from most owners of Japanese cars.

However , I always thought that some of the interesting cars to come out from the land of the rising sun often posessed some form of copying of ideas from others as an example - Mr2 mk2 - copying the Italian supercar style - MX5 - lotus elan etc....

BUT when I saw the 2006 civic - I thought - thats really different ! I Love it .

I love it so much that I have just bought a nighthawk black 2.2 ctdi with Leather. located as an unregistered vehicle at a dealer nearby ! hopefully delivery will be last week of October .
As someone who has always stopped short of buying new car due to the depreciation costs this is truly a remarkable move and a testamant to the boldness and tardis like design of the new civic.

I hope the ownership experience lives up to my expectations .

This is a great forum and I am looking forward to taking the advice out there and hopefully being able to add useful info along the way .

I like the look of the Civinfo.com sticker - where/how do I get one ?

Well at least having read this site you know what you are in for - it is truly a great car and an even better engine.

I'm sure you will not be dissapointed with the engine performance - at least with leather you will not have the velcro like black seats that are a mare for hoovering to keep looking spot on!!

Enjoy.

Thanks for all the replies - this is the second forum I have joined and this one has produced nore replies to an introduction posting than the other forum has done in more than a year!

HI - IWANTACIVIC. Dealer stock constantly changeing over the last week or so . Feels like lots of SEs with Leather but very few ESs I dont think I saw any EXs on the dealers stock search when I was in the showroom.

When I placed a deposit there were 28 ESs in leather on the Honda stocksearch , the dealer had trouble securing one - I think all sales guys were on holiday ! After paying a deposit and 4 days later with no secured car - I went back in to the dealer 28 cars had gone down to 4 !

They secured A cdti ES with leather for me eventually !

hoping to get it next week .

Good luck with your search .

You will not feel middle aged for long in a car like the NHB Civic. The years will roll away.

Enjoy and watch for speed cameras.

Welcome Nighthawk!

Great car, ok colour (sorry guys, didn't mean to hurt your feelings)

It's good to have new members for a change that aren't working for Honda.
