Introduction

First posting, having only taken delivery of 1.8i Cosmic Grey Sport on Friday.

Regretfully though already experiencing problems with the fuel tank float/gauge resulting in fuel warning light continually fashing.

Apparently, Parks Honda advise this to be a common fault on the new Civic and indeed did admit to having attempted to rectify it prior to delivering the car.

Keen to learn if anyone has any experience of this fault as I was always of the opinion electrics/electronics on Honda's were rock solid, having previously owned two Accords, over a period of 7yrs, only requiring the assistance of the AA for a flat battery caused by grease bridging the brake pedal light switch contact.

Also, would like to learn of other members experience of Parks aftersales service as in the past personally found it somewhat lacking.

Fraser welcome to the site. I don't think that the 'fuel tank float/gauge resulting in fuel warning light continually flashing' problem has been raised on the site before and I'm sure that if it was a common problem one of the site members would have posted it.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Definitely not a common problem, we'd definitely have heard of it

Hello and welcome, I suggest the dealer takes another look at your fuel gauge
