I've taken the plunge!

Hello, after much thought and with the help of all the info on Civinfo, I've traded my 3.0 S-Type Jaguar in for a 2.2 S-Type Civic (In Tangerine!). Its an 08 dealer demonstrator and I pick it up on Friday.... I just hope its going to be a good one!

It seem's that its a bit of a love it or hate it colour, but I particularly wanted one in that colour.... There's so many silver cars around, people seem to just buy them in that colour with ease of selling in mind.

Last summer my girlfriend made me follow a tangerine civic cos she loved the colour. We later saw it parked up and went for a peek. Ive got to admit it look awesome as it had the trim colour coded along with splitters fitted .

She says if she could afford one thats the colour she would go for !

They had a white type-R in the show room, it looked awesome, but I couldnt afford one!

My next door neighbours' wife has an orange Renault Twingo, so I guess I'll annoy her having the same colour car

I considered a new Twingo GT RenaultSport before buying the Civic, it was a similar price. I wasnt just after the colour, I was looking for a modern, sporty, well designed car. I looked at the Focus, Clio, Astra, Golf etc, etc, but they're all so boring! But when I saw the interior of the Civic light up, that got me, I wanted one!

Exactly the same with me.... When I sat in a Civic for the first time I loved the dashboard layout and asked the salesman to turn to ignition on and ping ! it lit up like nothing I'd seen before.... I knew then I wanted one even before he showed me the rest of the cars features.

Welcome, Pvt, you chose the car I'd have if it was my money. As mine will be a company car, a 5 door in grey or black is more likely.

It is a great forum, isn't it? I feel very much at home here after a only a few weeks.

Look forward to seeing some pics of your new drive one day.

Thanks for all the 'Welcome's', I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow.
It will be the light at the end of the tunnel, as I'm using my redundancy
money to buy it.....
