So, 3 weeks after and 2500 miles at the clock it's pure joy to drive it every days !

Courage ! you have to be strong but the waiting worth it !
You didn't mind changing the colour then?

I'm glad that you enjoy driving it so much. I'm sure that I will do too. It didn't matter what colour I chose, all of the colours wouldn't have been delivered until March. Patience is not a strong point of mine!

Thanks for your message.

Thanks for that. It all sounded great in the brochure and at the sales room but it's much better to have an opinion from someone not directly related to Honda and who actually owns one, rather than someone in the press who just has an idea but doesn't drive one day in, day out.

Was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get an upgrade to have a panoramic roof on the sport model. Also that it didn't have a spare wheel, which, as a girl, is a bit of a worry. So I added one. I'm sure that it will be great.

Hi Lexie,
Be aware that reading this forum can be bad for your wealth!
Today I recieved the Infinity speaker kit and spacers required for a speaker upgrade having read one of the "How to" threads. A job for the weekend I think!
Also a kit of 3 blue LEDs arrived to replace the curtisy (spelling? doesn't look right to me!) inside the car as another thread said how good they were. A job for after the washing up.....using the dishwasher!

On to more important things (Yeah, right!) How long can Max keep Stacey a secret from Tanya!

You know Terry, I really don't know. But I do know that Sonia did not kill the silly old goat, Pauline and I think that Martin is a bit over the top!!

I want the blue interior lights too. I read the thread about installing yr own for a mere £15-20. I just don't think I'd be able to do it. My bro might tho i suppose. I may well get my local Car hi-fi dealer to make me a new, acoustic clothed parcel shelf as I have a couple of extremely powerful 4 way 6x9's which have been in m last 2 cars. I'm sure I keep that shop going. But never mind that, BUYING the Civic in the first place is extremely damaging to your wealth - but it's sooooo great!!

I've just fitted the LEDs, it really is an easy job, just a small screwdriver is required and a bit of care as you lever out the plastic lens.
As it says in the instructions, turn the lights off. What it should say is don't do it at night, because the old lamp doesn't have to be on very long for it to get quite hot! And take a torch!
The 3 LEDs cost £10.48 from Autobulbs (1 x 269LED0B0 £4.50, 2 x ABD501B £2.99).

You're right on the cost! The most I have ever spent on a car, previous highest was just under £12k. I need to sort out Gap insurance and Tyre insurance which adds another £230ish.

I think this site is going to convert me from being reasonably excited to completely obsessed!!
Welcome Lexie, have you not noticed we are all obsessed here! This forum should help the time fly by! It did help with my four month wait for mine!

Gap insurance is a MUST. I can't understand anyone not having it. I mean if you're going to spend £16.5k on a car, what's another couple of hundred quid?!

I think I will buy the bulbs and give it a bash. Better to spend that i suppose than pay Honda prices. If you say it's easy enough, I'll believe you. I fitted my own stereo once before...
