Great Motor

Hi Everyone, my first post so please be gentle.

Anyway, I've just picked up a 2nd hand, 06 reg, 2.2 Civic Sport in Blueish Silver.
Couple of early gripes -
- I can't see out of the rear window when my 6 foot tall son is sat in the centre rear seat.
- It doesn't have the spots which look so cool on all the civics on this forum, my fault though as I hadn't noticed this when I ordered the car and also hadn't realised that the sport didn't include them as standard until Sept 06.
Enough of the gripes though, after owning numerous cars over the years, including my most recent, a Mondeo Zetec S, I can safely say that after just a few hours of driving the Civic is the best all round car, in terms of looks, power and flexibility that I have ever owned.

Hello there

When you say spots I presume you mean fogs?

I would imagine anyone who is 6 foot tall would block the rear view in any car but possible solutions, chop his head off, don't take him out in the car, make him sit in the passenger seat or we could turn it in to a massive thread on what blocks our rear view

Hi Topcat

Some good ideas there thanks.
And yes I did mean fogs

Incidently, just to explain, my user name is a combination of my two daughters names, which I kind of came up with at short notice on discovering that my usual user name was already registered by someone else.
My real name is Colin

So there names must be Gemma and Jodhpurs

Btw I was going to take the username of Tracy but thought that was far to boring so stuck with my own name of Topcat.

welcome aboard Colin

Fogs aren't cheap, but fairly easy to retro fit if you really, really want them

there's a good thread in the How To section

(but check out the 'smashed fog lights' thread first though...)

Glad you're enjoying the Civic, much better than Mondeos, or so I keep telling my dad! And Mum for that matter with her Focus, Can you disown your parents?

about your six foot son in the back, if you'd bought a five door you could have folded up the rear seat and made him sit on the floor. LOL.
anyway welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum Colin.
You could also take a towbar and hook his mouth onto it
