Hot seats
I am new to this site as I am contemplating buying a civic soon, I have decided against going for all the boy's toys; but we do have a dog and I beleive that the leather seat option would be good at resisting the collection of dog hairs etc
I notice that the leather seats are heated. How good are the seats at avoiding dog hairs and how good are the heaters? I am temped by the cruse control, but beleive that it is an expensive toy. MIke |

Hot seats
Hi mike. Ive ordered a civic with leather seats for precisely the same reason - dog hairs. I had a civic out for a few days with the standard seats and they were real dog hair magnets! Only had the dog in the car once and it still took ages to remove all the tiny hairs. My current car has leather and it makes for an easy clean - hairs just wipe off.
Not sure about the back of the leather seats in the boot - doubt whether they are leather. Does anyone know? In any case i'll be buying a boot liner from halfords to protect the boot when the car arrives. |

heated seats
Don't know how good the heated seats are but i really like the cruise control - but then i just like lots of toys! I suppose it depends what sort of driving you will be doing as to whether or not it will be useful.

Thanks for the advice. Leather it is then. I will chexk to see if the backs are also leather - good point.
I think I'll leave cruise control as most of my driving is around town rather than on the motorway. I also worry that cruise control would give me one thing less to think about and i may doze off on long journeys. Mike |

Don't have a dog, but I have leather seats.
The backs of the rear seats are not leather - seem the same as the boot floor. The backs of the front seats are leather & hard plastic. The heated seats are only in the front & are great for helping my aching back. The cruise control I find particularly handy on 30/40mph roads. I can keep my eyes on the road & what is going on around me instead of worrying about going over the limit. |
