Hi from soon to be Type R GT owner!

Hi all,

I ordered a Type R GT in red a few weeks back. It's due around the 20th of May but I'm really hoping the date comes forward! I went mad and ordered a few options too, the sat-nav with the phone, the reversing camera and the electrochromatic mirror! The time is really dragging waiting for it to turn up.

I've currently got a Corolla T-Sport, an excellent car, but now it just feels out dated compared with the current group of hot hatches. Looked at just about every hot hatch available before going for the civic. It ended up between the Leon Cupra and the civic, but The Leon's dash let it down, plus the poor visibilty and very long waiting time.

A bit about me, I'm very into motorsport and photography, I supply photos (and sometimes race reports!) to several btcc racing drivers, including Fiona Leggate (Lots by me on www.fionaleggate.co.uk), Adam Jones and Martyn Bell. Most of my weekends during the summer are taken up by going to motorsport events. (BTCC, EERC Britcar, DTM, WTCC etc)

Welcome Marc. Sounds like you ordered your CTR around the same time as mine. Ordered mine on March 16th, given delivery date of late May and after speaking to the salesman last Thursday everything is still on schedule although I was told there is little to no-chance of delivery being pushed forward 2 or 3 weeks.

Oh well. The best things in life are always worth waiting for!!

Hi,

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm planning on popping into the dealership at the weekend to see if there are any updates on the delivery date, not hold out much hope of it coming forward though! It's a bit of a nightmare as everything is due on my current car at the end of April/begining of May!
