New to Civinfo, but not new to Honda's.

Returned to Honda with a new Civic after a very bad experience with VW.

long story, but involves hand brake failure (cooling of the disc's) common in Golf's, A3's, TT's etc when researched, then dash board failure and ultimately new discs and pads on a low mileage under 1 yr old vehicle.

Best bit - the servicing dealer stated that, and i quote "discs do warp in the winter...it is to be expected..."

VW customer care made assistance very difficult and as such i will never purchase or recommend a VW to anyone - people think Honda customer care is bad - buy a VW that develops a manufacturing defect...then bad customer service will reach a new level…!

Civic is much better than the VW, comfort is streets ahead - VW headlights leave a lot to be desired as do the scratches left on the car by the supplying dealer - shame, was a nice colour, but it had to go...!

Thanks Joey - do we know if there is a place we can talk about previous vehicles that leave a sour taste behind?

Honda Rob

Welcome here dear Sir.

Sure enough there are a few guys on here having a gripe about the new Civic.

But it's a machine.

Even NASA's millions couldn't get the Shuttle right every time.

Honda's million's have done a very good job.

Any faults can usually get sorted out to your satisfaction quite well, and then you're left with a truly remarkable vehicle.

Hey Rob, a late! welcome to the forum!

Have you picked up your car? There isn't a section previous vehicles yet...but you could start a thread in non civic chat or user reviews (compare it to the civic)
