07 1.8ex

Hi there,

I have posted once on this forum, and did not realise there was an introduction section... well here goes.

I currently have a company car 2.0GT Tdi VW Golf, Leather, Air Con; which has been an absolute dream car; to be honest it is a total perk. I leave about 13 miles away from the office, and be lucky to do even 100 per month on business.

So we are moving to a cash payment in lieu of car, fuel etc. My Dad (who is also the MD) has decided that we become green friendly, drive small cars, and spend less money.

On 3rd June I ordered an 07 1.8EX with Leather, Panoramic roof, in Champagne Silver; having test driven the ES and also the Type-R GT. The Type R on a PCP was about £4 cheaper per month, but the car is not really sensible for a Senior Manager - although if I was only planning to keep it for up to 2years, I would have been tempted.

Just had a call from the dealer that I can collect on Thursday 28th.

Thanks for the welcome. Slight change of plan. Having reviewed the options, company is now leasing the car, which has caused a delay in the delivery. The car is ready, but the leasing paperwork in not in place, to allow the garage to paid. Delivery hopefully will be Friday now.. and I hope so.
