Hello!

Hi everyone - thought I'd join in as I finally plucked up the courage and bought the ex-demo Civic Type-S I'd been swooning over at my local Honda dealer. It's a NHB 1.8 iVTEC and since it's an ex-demo I've only got to wait till Thursday to pick it up - can't wait!

Hope to speak to some of you guys properly soon!

Hey zio, that's Italian for uncle. Welcome to the site. I did the same as you and bought a 1.8 ex-demo one month old, end of March 2007. Couldn't possibly have waited months for a brand new one. No problems, apart from still not having received the V5 document. I've been in twice to ask for it. Going in for a third time today. No more Mr Nice Guy.

Watch out for the Civic smile once you start driving it.

Damn my ignorance of other languages! I had to go in to the dealers and sign the paperwork this afternoon, and there she was with a big 'Sold' sign in the window - I'm still smiling about it now!

They've been taking the p*** out of me at work all day because I've been acting like a 7-year old at Christmas...

Yes but they'll be green with envy when you drive off in it

The kid at Christmas syndrome doesnt wear off I still get excited when I see my car and when I walk back to it in a car park I smile at it
