Hello :)
Hi all
Great to see site dedicated for new Civic (euro model!) - been searching for something like this quite some time! Currently own Civic 1.4iS (year '97), which suffered many modifications from turboing 1.4 to now having VTI engine under hood. But, the real reason being here is new Civic. I ordered 1.8 Executive (cosmis gray) with i-SHIFT and few gizmos (bluetooth, concert pack, rear parking sensors) in end of June, but delivery will be only at November. So still got quite some time to wait.. aggh! Just hope time would pass faster Ahh.. forgot to mention, country I'm visiting from: Croatia |

New Civic's?
There are maybe few arround. I could spot one in a week They are quite expensive here. For example mine costs (will cost If I for some odd reason compare this to my old Civic which costed 24k DM, it's a helluva difference (24k DM after the conversion to EUR was done is like 12k EUR). Also, for some odd reason Civic is really expensive here, and that goes for 5door version. 4 door verions is a lot cheeper - base model is 20.700EUR (1.8 petrol). Again for comparison, 1.8 executive is same price as Accord 2.0 - which is considered 'higher class' (and in the end also has a bit more powerfull engine)! Btw, Executive Civic has basically everything except sat nav. For same price I could go for example for Golf GTI, or - as said - Accord - which many people actually suggested. But, I'm not buying fastest/biggest car I can get for money, but rather what I want to drive, feel comfortable in, and basically have fun driving. Edit: Hmm.. mistake, 'base' 1.8 4 door Civic is 18.850EUR, compared to 'base' 1.8 5 door Civic (base = Sport) which is 24.650EUR. |
