Welcome Arne!

This is the place to be!

I will be interested to hear how you find the camera working in the winter with snow and ice. I went with the sensors instead.

Thanks a lot, FWH!!

The rear camera is in my opinion a very useful equipment. espesially when parking onto very narrow parking spots! Where i earlier had to run in and out of the car to check how close i was to the car behind, i now just can relax and watch the monitor and reverse the car very, very close! Actually, i can see some of my license plate on the monitor! Please note: The parking cam is only available on civic 1.8i executive! (factory mounted sat nav.) I'll just have to wait for the first winter to arrive to see how the cam works during the cold season! Then i'll let you know!!

Regards arnmon!

Would be great if you could post some impressions/thoughts about the blue lights. Was wondering about ordering those myself but when I asked the salesman how they worked he sort of shrugged it off and said they just gave off a sort of pale light when the doors were opened, which is when you get in and out of the car..

Rear camera is a must, though. I am so glad I ordered it. Never looking back (hah double meaning!)

Hi tacomodo!

Welcome to the " never looking back" club! (hahhah) My brother have the same civic that i have (exept for the colour), and he envy me so much. I think Honda should have concidered to implement this equipment in the top of the line civic's from the beginning. It would have been cheaper for the customers to have that opportunity rather then to buy it separately! I think when the customer had seen the advantages with the camera, many of them had been more than willing to pay the extra cost. And in the new civic the rear view is pretty poor. ( cost alot more in other car brands i.e. Audi a3, Bmw 1- series,Vw golf, etc.)
Regarding the blue ambiente light my dealer will assemble it for me on monday, august 20 (next monday) for the "nice price" of 2600 norwegian kroner,NOK.(approx.£ 220) all included. So, if you excuse me, i have to return with thoughts and impressions later on. I have only seen some images of them in a Honda brouchure! But i look forward to see how they actually appear now when the days get shorter continiously!
Enjoy your blue light and the lazy(and smart) solution with the rear cam in your high quality, hi-tec space ship!
Honda Civic is back on the track!!

Regards amronno

Would also love to see some pics of the rear spoiler. By the look of the brochures they had at Skotvedt here in Oslo I could hardly tell the difference.

If those blue lights turn out to be cool, I may go back and install them too, so dont forget to post
