Grey but not dull (Hopefully)
Hi,
I am now the proud and very happy driver of a brand new Galaxy Grey ES, my very own Starship Enterprise. All I can say is WOW!!! It's wonderful! It so much fun to drive, I can't stop grinning like a mad thing when I get out. My last car (no names here) was so bad, by comparison. It is currently sitting at the bottom of the drive awaiting its fate (I'm threatening to take it to the crusher). I love the i-Shift. It took a couple of hours to get the hang of it, but now it's so easy. The seats are comfortable and the dash is clear and easy to read, providing the sun is not too bright. If I were to be picky, I'd prefer a less shiny dash. Apart from that this car is its pretty close to perfect. Current outstanding tasks are to get my iPod connected and to try and find a way of plumbing Garmin 2820 into the dash neatly, without all those trailing wires. Only problem is that I spend so much time out driving, I don't seem to have the time |

Welcome John.
You can quite easily change the dash for a Type-R one. Replace the fascia with the Type R glare and scratch free one The standard dash is also easy to scratch, although it is now being said that Honda recognize this and have a new version of the standard dash that is more resistant to scratching. It is said that in Spain and the UK at least, these are being exchanged under warranty. http://www.civinfo.com/forum/general...-warrenty.html See the Wiki and How-To section for ideas on how to connect the ipod and wire in the Garmin. http://www.civinfo.com/wiki and http://www.civinfo.com/forum/how/ Last edited by FWH; 9th August 2007 at 19:34. |

Thanks for the kind words.
I should have added to my post that it is, in part, thanks to this forum that I chose the Civic. I had some questions over the car, but this highly informative and enthusiastically run website answered them and the rest, as they say, is history... |
