New to type r

Hi

Just sold the E46 m3 vert as a new baby on way and opted for a 08 plate Type R after test driving a few other (VXR ST GOLF GTI) opted for the Type R for best all rounder. Night hawk black.

This site was great on giving the info I needed to make the right choice

I'm from Sheffield and looking forward to browsing around

Sounds like you've bought exactly the same car I did.

Haha, aye, I was a wee bit thrown by the fact it said Shefield but you had a Scottish flag.

Where about in Scotland are you from?

The funny thing is I almost ruled out the CTR from day one (before seeing and driving it like), purely because I had convinced myself I needed a car with a turbo.
How untrue that was! The high reving VTEC is awesome!
To me it's an engineering marvel when you think the cars actually quicker than the ST that's got 25 extra horses, half a litre bigger with an extra cylinder.

It boggles ma brain. lol

welcome....my biggest tip would be to turn the vsa off. I didn't realise it was so invasive until i tried it for a while turned off....you can then turn it on when its wet etc for a bit of extra grip.
