Hi from Tailgate

Hi, Just back from ordering my new Civic Type R (Alabasta Silver). Tried to order the GT version but was told there was a 20 week wait and I just coudn't wait that long. ETA first week in October. Decided to add the Fog Lights to finish it off at a cost of 350 pounds and I am wondering if I have done the right thing after reading some of the threads on the website. Will let you know if I have any suspicious glass breaking episodes. This is my second Honda, my first was a 2.2i Accord Coupe. Looking forward to taking the Civic out for a spin. Considered the Sat Nav option, a bit pricey (not available for Type R) and was also told it costs 180 pounds per year payable to Honda which I thought was a bit much. Will have to order a couple of stickers from the website to enhance its looks even further.

Hi Tailgate, and welcome

Not sure where you are, but in the UK you can get an R with Sat Nav...

And (sorry!) - no annual fee payable either

Maybe annual fee is the wrong description. I think the dealer actually meant 180 pounds for software & firmware upgrades per year, anyway it fightened me off, I'll stick to a TomTom 520 for now.
