I want my new Civic!!

Hi all,

Ordered my Civic on Friday but have to wait 6 weeks

The forum looks great - nice to have that checklist for collection too. I think I'm already addicted to the forum and I don't even have my car yet!

One thing from reading around here which worries me is the DBW problem people seem to have. Can anyone explain exactly why some people seem to have an irritating lag and others don't? Worries me a bit about the new car, but I didn't notice it on the test drives and sounds like diesels (which I've ordered) don't suffer so badly. Do folks agree?

Hi zippybungle, welcome to the club. 6 weeks you say, that's nothing! I will fly by.

It looks like you have ordered Black. Well done, a wise choice. You should have no problems as they all seem to be reserved for the 'Grey' colours.

Hope you enjoy Civinfo like we all do.

Welcome, zippybungle, no problems here, well, if there are I have managed to work with them, yes I suppose there is a small delay between hitting the stop with the accelerator and getting the oomph, but I just put that down to turbo lag, its no worse than in any other car, and they didn't have DBW.
