Auf Wiedersehen Pet

Hello there from Germany

firstly let me say this is a great Website secondly let me introduce myself I'm German still 36years of age and lived for almost 13 years in the uk. Moved back to Germany just over 4 years ago. Anyway enough to my person, my hubby bought me recently a Civic 2.2 CTDI well we ordered it, and were told of a waiting list more or less 3-4 Month. Great I thought the bloody car arrives mid of October and 2 weeks later I can put the winter tyres on . Anyway about 2 weeks ago while on holiday the phone rang and my local car dealer said your car has just arrived :P :P I couldn't believe it 10 weeks early (I'm not complaining . On that Tuesday I collected it after loads and loads of hassle with the German TUEV. Since then I must be the happiest woman driving about in Germany

And if you guys in the UK wonder how fast it goes ( 70 mph...yawn....), then you should come over and try it on the Autobahn....

I would like to take this oppertunity to say a big thanks to my hubby, Jef if you read this thanks a million, love u bucket loads

Welcome Civic-babe, hope you enjoy the site. Just think of your fuel economy when you are next flying down the AutoBahn. Slow and steady wins the race, and gets 500 miles from a tank.

Welcome civic-babe! I'm looking forward to a planned trip across to Netherlands/Germany in November and hope to let the civic 'free' when I'm there!

I've got to be a bit careful at the moment because I've only got 800km on the clock!

Welcome again!

I'm sure she will! I mean cruise control still works at 205 km/h, right?

Anyway, hertzlich wilkommen, civic-babe.

Hi civic-babe you're a lucky one, with your husband buying you a civic! (my wife keeps threatening to cancel mine unless I behave, hence the removed sig below )

I vote we all go round civic babe's house and try out the Autobahn (what a site that would be! 200 or so civics doing 100mph+ in a convoy )

Wahey I'm off to the Netherlands end of August as well, but as I live way down south (just before Munich) it is hell of a trip for us, specially since in the Netherlands is all speed restrictions

I haven't tried cruise control at that speed , but my puppy goes a little over 205 km/h not sure if that is the feel good factor from Honda saying it goes faster then it ahould
