Hello from Norwich

Hey,
I'm delighted to have found a UK forum for the new Civic as I'm currently looking at the 2.2cdti Type S GT (long title ).
Am 22, and have owned Honda's since I was 17, got the passion from "the folks" . Can't get enough of the revvyness (is that a word!) of my previous Vtec Civic's and my current car:

She's a 1997 P Reg Prelude 2.2 vtec UKDM, completely standard apart from the wheels. Had it for a year, an exceptional turn of speed, a manic soundtrack and all the creature comforts.
Sadly though, its getting on a bit (although its regarded on PreludeUK Forum as one of the cleanest examples in the country!) so I am going to cash in on its current value while its still pristine.

Sooo, I'm in the market for the Type S GT, and will enjoy browsing the forum and asking questions until I find the right car.

Quick question, does the GT have HID lights or not? I can't get a specific answer anywhere, and I'm not near the dealer enough to just "pop-in".

Anyway, essay over, hello!

Hello (again) br1tt3n!

Welcome to the forum!
Nice Prelude, but so is the Civic!
Unfortunately, I can not answer your question, as I don't know the UK models!

Hello again

Thanks for the comments, can't wait to get the Civic

I've done a bit of searching on the site but still can't find a definate answer, but I'm sure one of the kind owners on here will know!

I just love the Civic dash, thats one thing I won't have to miss from my Prelude (similar style!).

Edit - After more searching, I found a CivInfo member saying this: "Type-S GT doens't come with HIDs (At least not in the UK) the stealer said that the sensors are fitted to the suspension, but it didn't fit the suspension on the Type-S and Type-Rs."

Yep, in the UK, the S (and the R) both come without the option of HIDs

strange, but true

but welcome aboard anyway!
