I sold my Chipped Cooper S a few weeks back awaitin the arrival of my CTR GT hopefully by the end of the month (waiting since start of August)..............Maybe I will get better MPG outta this that that......but maybe not lol!

Great choice of car thought....I did consider the Type S GT, but my Dad reminded me I would never be happy with it and would always want the CTR, so thats what I bought.

Welcome to the forum!

lol - blimey do you have an expected delivery date for your CTR GT? Your Cooper S chipped must have been rapid! I've been reading on here about Superchipping 2.2's - should get it down to where I am with the Cooper S.

Excellent choice of car though - it will look awesome!

whats that 5 / 6 weeks not to bad a delivery period trust me it could easily have been longer depending on your spec

think about something else - Like Christmas and the time will fly by to the
11th November

remember the pics when you get it

Yeah, its due in for between the 21st and the 31st of October (Waiting times for the CTR are massive which you will learn as you explore the forums)

Cooper S was amazing, blew folk away. Looking to chip the CTR when that becomes avalible. Take it your selling private? I did and got 3k more than offered by the dealer on trade in!

Yeh selling private, the dealer gave me a silly price for it - way off! I told him to take a long run off a short peir!

Now I've got the challenge of balancing when to put the cooper S up for sale, and whether the delivery date will creep back! Don't really want to sell it too early! Hmmmm....!

Hmmm now that is a question. Mines took almost 6 weeks to sell (would have been 5 but there was a hold up with ther buyers cash coming from Spain)

I got lots of interest at one time, but its the usual you get folk wanting to pay well off the mark.....had two people wanting me to knock a grand off the price, wouldn't have minded but 8 months ealier I had fitted the JCW Cross Spoke Alloys worth 2k as I wasn't planning on selling it for a while.

M advice would be to make sure that you put a reasonable price on your offer otherwise it wont be looked at. Some folk had theirs up for more than mines and theirs were standard. Mines had leather, sunroof, spoiler, b/kit, cd changer, tracker etc. Was Stunning and everyone stared at it everywhere I went.

If you price it well you wont have a problem finding a buyer

My wife's got a Cooper S convertible and it is great fun.

It seems a few people are trading in mini's for CTR's. Whilst I was in the dealers thrashing out my deal two people came in enquiring about the CTR and they both had Cooper S's.

Angie like you I considered the Type S GT diesel, a great car with loads of torque, but I too thought I would always be wishing I had the CTR.

Quite frankly for the past 5 and a half years there has been nothing else that has taken my fancy. As soon as I saw the new Civic I fell in love with it, but really couldn't part with a quick car for a slower one.

If BMW hadn't of ruined the Mini (although it is growing on me) I would have bought another one. Also didnt want the convertible as there is already a BM convertible in the household which I can use.

I just can't wait to get it! I'm like a kid at Xmas at the moment.......but not having a car of my own for the past 3/4 weeks is driving me MAD!!!!!!!
