G'day everyone

Congratulations on a great site, I've learnt a lot from it

Decided to replace my father's Golf 4 GT TDI and wasn't really that impressed with the Golf 5 which seems to have a host of electronic problems compared to the Mk 4 and when a few extras are added in the price get's right up there. The Civic seemed like a viable and sensible alternative. Went for a silver 2.2 CTDi EX with glass roof, leather, studio pack (camera, blue lights etc), parking sensors as well and a cd changer. Ordered May 5th, was due August 9th and arrived August 22nd. I haven't actually driven it yet but there is an 82 year old running around out there in it and loving it! Hopefully it'll prove as trouble free as the Mk 4 Golf

Cheers

I am sure you will enjoy the Civic when you get the chance.
If you add the drivers age to the age poll it might re-balance it a bit.
Great car-great choice
Do I guess the bus-pass is on hold at the moment then?

Welcome jcr944 (not another former porsche man ?) That's a fully loaded Civic. Let us know what you think once you've had a go and post some pics if you get a chance.

Re: G'day everyone

Thanks to all for the warm welcome

Yes Newboy, you picked it a Porsche man (sometimes) Still have my 84 944 which has only done 5000 odd miles, although classic, rather boring compared to the Civic I expect! Normally a Mazda driver, recently succumbed to an Accord, and for the record have recently found myself involved in restoring a Dolomite Sprint ...don't ask me why!

The old man looks pretty cool in the Civic, believe that his grand children have recommednded some new 'suitable apparel' to wear whilst driving it.

Take care all and keep between the hedges!
